Sure, you can think of flooring as, well, just flooring, or you can see it as we do - an element of design intrinsically connected to the ambiance and aesthetics of a room. It's a daily blog and is often updated upwards of six times per day with delectable design bits and bites. "Design*Sponge features store and product reviews, sale and contest announcements, new designer profiles, trend forecasting and store/studio tours.
-----------------
james wilkins

Link BuildingAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30346489.post-72120485899598147942008-09-11T11:42:00.000-04:002008-09-11T11:42:00.000-04:00Hello Christine:To help you connect the dots, I am...Hello Christine:

To help you connect the dots, I am the guy you met at the Carpet One Convention in Nashville that told you how pertinent and timely your articles are, and how I find them even more insightful than Seth Godin’s blog.

Anyway, just wanted to pass on one of the “Back to Basics” ideas we have started here regarding store hours. Our store has almost always observed 6 major holidays every year. After reading Warren Tyler’s article in April, we talked about staying open on Memorial Day, but that did not materialize. Then we decided to be open on the 4th of July. We had some store traffic, but then again, we did not advertise it too aggressively. Labor Day was a different story. We advertised it in print and broadcast media that we were going to be open on Labor Day. I’m happy to report that it was one of our heaviest traffic days of the year with many customers commenting about how glad they were that we were open. It brought husbands and wives in together. We are still closing sales from that one day. Needless to say, we are going to gear up even more for New Year’s Day. What a way to start out 2009, right? One thing that I hope to have in our store by then is a widescreen TV, so the football fans that may be compelled to come out will be able to watch one of the bowl games on that day.

Keep up the good work.

Tony Carroll
Sales & Marketing Manager
Martin’s Flooring – Fivepointville & Lancaster
Ph.: 877-445-7799
http://www.martinsflooring.com/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
